Sari-sari in tagalog translates to "variety" and is used to describe small stores in the Philippines that sells everything from candy to skewers. Just like its name, the restaurant offers Filipino food with different varieties of rice bowls, sides, drinks, and desserts.
My vision for the logo redesign is to be cultural, that shows authenticity, and illustrates the variety that the restaurant offers all through visual communication. I represented its cultural and authenticity by introducing textures and variety by experimenting and playing with the type.
For the visual design, to communicate the context to its audience, I choose some of the main ingredients that the restaurant offers and illustrated it to tell a story and its atmosphere. To keep it consistent and committed to theme, I added texture to the illustrations.
